Roemer Industries joins the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition (MVMC) after struggling to find and retain workers last year.
Through the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition (MVMC), local companies and education partners work together to build the talent pipeline that will drive economic growth to the region. The organization consists of more than 70 companies in the manufacturing sector located in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
In late June, Roemer Chief Operating Officer Jill Palumbo and business development specialist Paula Lazzari attended the all-member meeting at the MCCTC Career Center to be officially welcomed into the coalition.
Since then, Roemer has seen an improvement in employee retention and the program has helped to enhance our recruitment strategies.
The MVMC offers resources and training programs aimed at helping to place qualified individuals in a full-time working environment, and that is instrumental for us to be able to grow our workforce.
Roemer plans to renew its membership with the coalition into 2024 and beyond.
