Rittman Recreation Center, a recreation center that promotes physical fitness like gymnastics, swim lessons and walking, reached out to us seeking a solution for a brass nameplate project.
Rittman required a hiking tag as part of its hiking challenge within the community. To participate, hikers were required to walk 15 miles within two of the city’s nature preserves, and after turning in a sheet, were awarded a hiking medallion and walking stick.
Roemer manufactured the hiking tag out of brass and used screen printing to capture the vivid colors to promote outdoor activities at the William J. Robertson Nature Preserve like kayaking, walking and bird watching.
Garrick DiSalvo, Recreation Director, oversaw the 2023 project and was satisfied with the overall quality of the brass tag. He said he hopes to hold another hiking spree in 2024.
“The quality was very nice. I hope it is just as easy when we order this year!” DiSalvo says.
